The concept of MAT Lures started in 1980 and was born out of pure passion and love for sports. Originally developed for personal use only, our baits were first used in Kenya, Mauritius and the Maldives. In the year 2018 we developed our baits further and perfected them for series production.
We combine two components until the right consistency is achieved then the mixture is poured into molds. Next, the filled molds are shaken to allow any air bubbles to escape to ensure a perfect cast. Finally, they are left to set for a duration of 30 minutes. After the core is covered in foil and all the lables are applied, it is ready to be placed into the special applicator. This special applicator mixes two components and assures a bubble-free lure head. Tails are attached and double-secured: First, with a special adhesive and, lastly, with a zip-tie. Each lure has two to three layers of skirting depending on its size.
